• A new mother’s ramblings about her son’s health and diseases — and her paranoid responses to both. It became clear that based on her MD daddy’s beliefs, she recommends vaccination ... although she appeared to waffle. The author reportedly did extensive research on all-things vaccine-related but there was minimal hard data in the narrative. Mostly philosophical ramblings. Forced myself to finish the book — kept hoping for some redeeming value.
• A good read, giving insight to our fears and feelings about immunization, the risk and social benefits compared. It does not force a conclusion but causes the reader to explore their own values, while providing history and knowledge to reach a decision.
• Written as though a poet, sociologist, historian, and immunologist collaborated to produce the truth -- physical and political -- of immunization and vaccination. Informative, often counterintuitive, and insightful.
• It was a moderately interesting read. Again, a few typos and not horribly captivating.
• I recommend this to everyone. Such a great book.
