So if she says this is another excellent book by William Huff then consider it a great book of its topic. I did not read it myself but thought I would share what I can."

- Of the dozens of books on religion and spirituality I've read over the years, this book continues to be one that I consistently recommend to others who are seeking their path or are curious to know about other paths (without wanting to get bogged in dogma or volumous know-it-all "expertise"). As the other reviewers say, you will find yourself coming back to this book again and again. Written in a simple and non-threatening way, Houff makes it easy for "the spiritually curious" to examine aspects of many religious and spiritual paths. Highly recommended! Also, consider "The Power of Myth" as another book of spiritual and religious education.

- This is an interesting book on belief and spirituality, with an emphasis on mysticism in religious faith. The explanation of mysticism is clear and separates that concept from the goofy and weird that are sometimes lumped in with it. The book is drawn from the author's sermons. The writing is clear, but would have benefited from better editing to lessen the amount of repeated material.

- Bill Houff is a deeply spiritual man who instantly communicates with you in person or through his book. But more important than the man himself is the depth of feelings and ideas he projects through this book.
I think you will read it all the way through, the first time. Then you will read portions of it over and over again when you need a pilot through the foggy straights of life.
I met Bill fifteen years ago, bought the book two years later and recommended it to friends and family since then. And... I am writing this review fifteen years later. Is that not a testimonial to the power of this book?
